Ingredients
  

  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam or fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped strawberries

  • 9x13 inch baking pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare the cake mix as per the box instructions. Set aside.
  3. Beat the cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour the cake batter into the pan. Drop spoonfuls of cheesecake mixture on top, and swirl together.
  5. Top with chopped strawberries or jam.
  6. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool before serving.

Notes

  • If you want an extra strawberry boost, swap the white cake mix for strawberry cake mix.
  • For a firmer texture, refrigerate the cake before serving.
