Ingredients
  

  • 2 sushi-grade ahi tuna steaks
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds optional
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Pat tuna steaks dry and season with salt, pepper, and sesame seeds (if using).
  2. Mix soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, garlic, and ginger in a bowl. Marinate tuna for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear tuna for 1-2 minutes per side.
  4. Slice against the grain and serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Adjust searing time to suit your preferred level of doneness.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to two days in an airtight container.
