Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup tapioca pearls
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 cup cooked taro root or 3 tbsp taro powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup brewed black tea
  • 2-3 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes

Equipment

  • Medium saucepan
  • Slotted spoon
  • Blender or food processor
  • Tall glasses for serving
  • Wide straws (for the boba pearls)

Method
 

  1. Cook tapioca pearls according to package instructions. Toss with brown sugar.
  2. Blend taro paste, milk, tea, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Assemble with boba pearls, ice, and taro tea. Serve and enjoy!
