Method
Cut and Scoop:
- Cut each passion fruit in half with a serrated knife. Scoop out the pulp (seeds included) into a blender.
Blend Gently:
- Add 1 cup filtered water and ¼ cup simple syrup to the blender. Pulse a few times to loosen the juice without completely pulverizing the seeds.
Strain:
- Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher. Use a spoon to press the pulp gently to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the seeds.
Adjust Flavor:
- Taste the juice. If it’s too tart, add more simple syrup; if too thick, add more water. Optionally, stir in the juice of 1 lime.
Serve:
- Serve over ice for a chilled, refreshing drink. Garnish with a lime wedge or a sprig of mint if desired.
Notes
- Customization: Feel free to adjust the water and syrup amounts according to your taste.
- Storage: Store any leftover juice in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Stir well before serving, as separation may occur.
- Variations: For a sparkling twist, substitute still water with your favorite sparkling water. You can also mix in a bit of mango or pineapple juice for a unique flavor blend.
