Ingredients
  

  • 4-5 lbs beef brisket
  • 2 tablespoons beef bouillon powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth

Method
 

  1. Pat the brisket dry and coat with olive oil.
  2. Mix the seasonings and rub them onto the brisket.
  3. Let the brisket rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven or smoker to 275°F (135°C) or 225°F (107°C).
  5. Cook the brisket for 6-8 hours, basting with beef broth if needed.
  6. Rest for 30 minutes before slicing.
